More cardinal truths of life
- We have all been in love with love, not necessarily in love with a person
- There is great pleasure in doing a job well…then why do we humans pass up that so often?
- The average person does not like complicated messages ; a message must be simply one line for them to consume it
- Practice waiting…it is the best thing we can do in most circumstances
- Courage comes to us only in desperation
- There is so much to be thankful for… but we are hardly ever conscious of this
- The most difficult thing to achieve is being contented with ourselves
- Not doing anything at all is so much more powerful sometimes than doing something
- What can be the worst thing that can happen? …is the best question to ask
- Household routines are dictated by one person…suffered by all others!
- Everything is understood only in retrospect
- We all have private jokes in our minds
- We fear intelligence, side with mediocrity and tolerate stupidity
- Spousal relationships will always remain unequal; one among them invests emotionally more than the other
- Isn’t it ironical that people rob flowers to place before God?
- We ask the other to meet our expectations…when will we consider meeting their expectations?
- We can never take out money from any equation…we only pretend to do so
- Complaining is easy…quitting is not
- The most rampant ailment we humans suffer from is stupidity
- When we are mentally scolding or arguing with someone the ideas, language and eloquence are outstanding…can’t say the same in reality!
- Good news is always written in small print
- The cardinal truth is it is not possible to love all your children equally
- The uniqueness of household work is that nobody has to give it to you…its yours for the taking
- Good relationships are contingent up on what you do for each other
- We fail to notice our own children growing up…but seriously attend to their children growing up!
- We are what we read
- If we all could say what we wanted to say, the world would be a chaos!
- Being there at the right time…that has been the most important thing in our lives
- People need each other, rather than love each other, after a while
- We miss others for our own sake, not for their sake
- If only…. Is the greatest regret in our lives
- We count all the material things we have accumulated as achievements, rarely do we realise the experiences we have accumulated and the positivity it brought to our personalities as achievements
- Perception is deceptive; it make you see what you want to see, not what is actually true
- People don’t learn from experience…that’s where the problem lies
- Those among us who cringe creating scenes, are always losing verbal battles
- At some point in our life we must stop planning to do things and actually do them…success is assured only then
- Complacency could be worse than impulsiveness; at least some action takes place by being impulsive
- Nobody knows everything…everybody knows something…and there lies the problem!
- People constantly ask for advice but seldom follow it
- Many times people best suited for the job are never given it…for fear that they will actually do it very well!
- What is a gift if it is not given of free will and in secrecy?
- There are more human parasites in this world than those among flora and fauna, it appears!
- An off track genius is more dangerous than a moron
- People do not explore their talents in life for various reasons; if only they did, the world would be a very different place
- Being honest has rarely rewarded anybody…reason why we see so little of this wonderful human trait
- People want to take credit and not give credit…
- Avoiding crisis in life is not a good idea…the best in us comes out only in crisis situations
- When we fail to look inwards, we not only avoid finding unpleasant things , but fail to see the good things about ourselves too
- Not having a choice is good for humans…they will do the needful
- Humans desire a lot of things when they cannot have them…but they end up getting them when they no longer desire them
- Humans are more obsessed about their enemies than their friends and family
- People drift apart in relationships rather than break them up…
- In life people are missed sorely only when they can no longer be back
- Appreciation comes only when threat perception disappears
- Making adjustments requires strength of mind…demanding adjustment is easy and reflects weakness rather than strength
I agree with almost everything you have written. I have procrastinated in reading your other blog enteries. Time to remedy the oversight. Well written, Atta
Excellent coverage of the ‘Cardinal truth’. Change in coverage style is too good! Short, sweet n effective(punchy!). See if you can adopt this style for future topics. Sum total is, most human beings are self centered and wear masks for the society they live-in!!

Very good observation of facts of life Mayuri.I too agree with most of them. But the thing is we dont realise the existence of it until we come across a text like this making us ponder about it.
Only a keen observant of life and experiences can capture these “truths” in a sentence for the average lazy mind. This list is a finely distilled brew of our cardinal sins!
Wonderful list and all absolute truths. We human beings are quite an interesting creation. So varied and yet so similar at the same time!
wonderful madam. Really helps each one of us to introspect. It speaks abt persona the mask that we wear just to show off. And to accept the truth and bring change in oneself needs a lot of inner strength. 🙏
Very nice akka. As ramu anna commented it is short and sweet and all practicle examples which we do normally. To adopt or to change one need determination and need to keep aside ego barrier.
